How to determine the damage of winch parts and how to adjust them

Column:Knowledge Time:2025-05-20
When the winch is in a relaxed state, the gap between the brake band (block) and the brake wheel should be uniform, with a gap value of 1-2.5mm between the brake band and the brake wheel, and 0.25-Lmm between the brake pad and the brake wheel. If this requirement is exceeded, the brake should be adjusted.

Here is a brief introduction to the relevant knowledge about damage and adjustment of winch parts for your reference only:

1. When cracks appear in the parts, they should be replaced immediately;

2. When the wear of the brake friction pad reaches 50% of the original pad thickness, it should be replaced;

3. When the wear on the working surface of the brake wheel reaches 2-3mm, it should be replaced (take the larger value for larger diameters and the smaller value for smaller diameters);

4. When the spring undergoes plastic deformation, it should be replaced;

5. When the wear of the shaft or shaft hole diameter reaches 5% of the original diameter, it should be replaced;
